SND Group was named after Mr. Narayan Das Shah, the pioneer of the organization. At present, Mr. Bharat Shah, Mr. Vivek Shah and Mr. Deepak Shah alongside Mr. Narayan Das Shah are the managing partners of the company. They are the core members of SND Group who have successfully imprinted the legacy of banarasi textiles all over the world.
At SND, we have successfully carved our footprints in trading banarasi handloom sarees. After the launch of โVALAKAMโ and โEKAYA BANARASโ, we have developed a new approach to introduce a new dimension to our designs. We have been able to promote not just the weavers of Banaras, but also the designers, karigars and printers across the nation. We are proud to have on-board over 20,000 skilled artisans who have played a pivotal role in helping us deliver pure banarasi handlooms to 5,347 customers.
The company, Shah Narayan Das & Co. came into being in the year 1913. It was originally referred to as Baldev Das Sarees. In no time, the company flourished and gained momentum in the industry. The ownership of the business was in the hands of Mr. Narayan Das Shah. In order to benefit the family and the textile weaving industry, the business was partitioned. Hereafter, their contribution to the Indian textile industry was a breath of fresh air. Their unique approach in design aesthetics was highly appreciated. Moving forward, the company name changed to Narayan Das Jagadish Das (NDJD) in 1987. It exemplified the outlook of Banarasi art and culture through textile production. Further in 2006, the brand was identified with the name Shah Narayan Das & Co. (SND). It elaborated the vision of SND Group with a new contemporary touch and pioneered the future of Banarasi weaves.
